What a solo operator and a 5-person team would pay

Published list prices, billed annually unless noted (monthly no-commitment price in brackets):

1. Housecall Pro: the closest like-for-like switch

Housecall Pro covers the same ground as Jobber (online booking, scheduling and dispatch, quotes, invoicing, payments and review requests) and its biggest difference is users included in the plan. Basic is $59/mo annually for 1 user; Essentials ($149/mo annually, $189/mo monthly) includes 5 users and adds routes, GPS tracking, checklists and QuickBooks Online sync; MAX ($299/mo annually, $329/mo monthly) includes 8 users ($35/mo per extra user) and adds route optimization, recurring service plans and a sales proposal tool. Card processing starts at 2.59% and bank payments are 1%. The 14-day trial (on MAX) needs no credit card, and there's no long-term contract. For the full head-to-head, read Jobber vs Housecall Pro. See Housecall Pro plans

2. Kickserv: the cheapest way to put 5-20 people on one account

Kickserv sells flat plans with users included: Start, 5 users, $75/mo ($60/mo billed annually); Run, 10 users, $149/mo ($119/mo annually); Scale, 20 users, $249/mo ($199/mo annually). Start covers an embeddable contact form, automated email and text reminders, 20+ reports, time and expense tracking and QuickBooks Online. Dispatch mapping, GPS check-ins, automated scheduling and custom reports start on Run, where QuickBooks Desktop is available for $50/mo extra. The catch is payments: Tap to Pay in the app is 2.9% + 30¢, but other online card payments are 3.9% + 30¢ and ACH is 1% + 30¢. Kickserv takes 5% off your subscription if you process at least $1,000/mo in online payments on Start. There's no contract, and annual subscriptions aren't refundable. Its pricing page offers a 30-day free trial (its landscaping page says 14 days), no credit card required. Route optimization isn't listed. See Kickserv pricing details.

3. GorillaDesk: per-route pricing for pest, pool and lawn routes

GorillaDesk charges by route (technician schedule), and admin, office and crew users are unlimited and free. Basic is $49/mo for 1 route with invoices, estimates, recurring invoice frequencies, basic routing up to 25 stops, Stripe and Square payments, automated reminders and material tracking for chemical use records. Pro ($99/mo per route) adds online booking, a customer portal, subscription billing, Drive Matrix routing, device and trap barcoding and QuickBooks Online sync. Growth ($149/mo) adds map measuring, estimate packages and a sales pipeline. Plans are month-to-month with no setup fees, data migration is free, and seasonal businesses can freeze the account. Texting is an extra $5/mo plus credit packs ($50 per 1,000 messages). See GorillaDesk pricing details and our best pest control software guide.

4. QuoteIQ: a cheaper solo plan with map measuring higher up

QuoteIQ Essentials is $29.99/mo for 1 user with estimates, invoices, invoice subscriptions, recurring and multi-day scheduling and online payments through Stripe or Whop. Beginner ($99.99/mo, 2 users) adds MapMeasure Pro for measuring properties from the map, job photos and mass invoicing. QuickBooks, job costing and chemical tracking are on Pro ($199.99/mo, 4 users), and route optimization and online self-booking are on Elite ($299.99/mo, 10 users). Extra users are $25/mo on every plan. The 14-day trial needs a credit or debit card, and there are no contracts or cancellation fees. Try QuoteIQ free for 14 days

5. Workiz: for phone-heavy businesses, if you'll ask for a quote

Workiz bundles an integrated phone system (call tracking, masking, two-way texting) with scheduling, estimates, invoices, online booking with optional checkout, estimate deposits, consumer financing and QuickBooks Online sync on every plan. Genius Scheduling and custom reports start on Pro; service plans, sales proposals, inventory, checklists, multi-day jobs and Zapier are on Ultimate only. Workiz doesn't publish prices (every plan says "Request pricing"), and its FAQ says annual billing saves $400+. The free trial is 7 days, no credit card required. See Workiz details.

6. Yardbook: free, for lawn and landscaping

If cost is the reason you're leaving Jobber and you mow or maintain landscapes, Yardbook's Starter plan is free (funded by sponsored ads) and includes scheduling, estimates, invoices, routing, card payments and snow removal. Free accounts pay a 1% Yardbook fee on online card payments on top of Stripe's fees. Business ($34.99/mo on an annual plan) waives that fee, and QuickBooks sync is on Enterprise ($49.99/mo annual). See Yardbook pricing details and our best lawn care software guide.
